Role Title: Accounts Payable
Department: Finance – General Accounting
Reporting to: Finance Accounts Payable Team Leader

Location: Dublin

The successful candidate will be fully responsible for accounts payable cycle which includes large volume of international payments (low and high transactions) for European Legal entities within the Finance shared service centre in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities :

•Understand the procedures: Purchase Orders processes, travel expense processes, key suppliers
•Ensure procedures are adhered to and improved where necessary
•Ensuring departmental adherence to statutory requirements and other internal processes.
•Identification of process improvements and assist with any project implementation.
•Collecting invoices and understanding the nature of expenses and the cost centres attached
•Scanning , Coding and Posting Invoices (inc intercompany).
•Making large batch payments to Local and International vendors.
•Ensuring that payment runs are completed within correct timescales.
•Monthly Intercompany reconciliations
•Monthly Intercompany settlements
•Problem Solving and Trouble Shooting for day to day issues that may arise.
•Maintenance of Monthly AP Metrics (Vendor Reconciliations /Aged Item reports)
•Liaise with GL accountants Operations departments
•Participate in ad hoc finance projects and work as required
•Help drive a culture of constant improvement and change

Essential Competencies/ skills :

•Some previous experience in a accounts payable function or finance position
•Third level education (preferably in accounting or business management) or equivalent experience
•Fluency in English written and spoken is essential
•Flexibility with the ability to work on own initiative along or as directed
•Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook
•Excellent business acumen
•Communication/interaction skills essential
•Positive/can do attitude

Desired Competencies/ skills :
•Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX an advantage
•Experience in a Finance Shared Services environment
•Ideally 2 years’ experience in an AP role
•Fluency in an additional languages such as Spanish / Portuguese an advantage
