Key Responsibilities
•Inform and raise awareness of data protection within the company, fostering a culture of “Privacy by Design” at all levels of the group
•Ensure that data subjects receive all required communication and information
•Carry out all actions to ensure a satisfactory compliance at the Group level with the GDPR reference framework
•Interpret and provide guidance to colleagues on forthcoming changes to data protection legislation on GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and other global mandates
•Manage, coordinate and respond to all data protection and privacy-related queries and requests from third parties (such as Customers, Partners, and regulatory authorities, including the Data Protection Commission in Ireland)
•Manage the record of data incidents and the data breach notification process
•Manage records of processing, data protection risk register, and all other data protection reference documents
•Undertake systematic data protection compliance audits in accordance with GDPR articles and other global privacy mandates
•Manage and mediate any complaints received from data subjects
•Ensure follow-up and report with internal and external bodies
•Coach and mentor direct report (1 direct report)

Requirements
•Third Level Qualification in an IT or Business field or equivalent work experience
•Understanding of EU General Data Protection Regulations, their impacts on business and technology and what the key priorities should be
•Excellent attention to detail combined with a solution orientated approach
•A methodical approach to completing tasks with the ability to prioritise effectively
•Enthusiastic, proactive, curious, flexible and positive attitude
•Ability to exercise independent judgment balanced with an understanding of when to escalate/request mitigation plans
•Team player with ability to build and maintain relationships
•Proven stakeholder management skills combined with the ability to influence without authority
•Excellent analytical skills
•Previous experience working as a people manager
•Strong communications skills – (verbal and written in English) with the ability to communicate clearly at both business and technical level

Desirable Competencies/ skills
•Business Literacy: Ability to understand the business, to take the business vision and translate it into a business data needs and data model
•Language : Additional languages a strong advantage (particularly French)
